The Interactions Research Theme at Southampton University is a team of interdisciplinary researchers exploring the medium of interaction within the Electronics and Computer Science department.
We are a collection of academics and postgraduates investigating novel interactions and furthering the knowledge and understanding of human-computer interaction techniques.
As computers become more pervasive the complexity of our interaction with them increases. Should our interactions be seamless, or seamful? How important is the tangibilty of those interactions? How do we deal with ubiquity? The interactions team aims at addressing these kind of questions so that inhabitants of mixed-reality spaces can manipulate their environments.
